Pink in the Park
In a world filled with diverse stories and experiences, some events stand out not just for their significance but for the remarkable unity and strength they inspire. Today, the A Special Place team had the privilege of attending “Pink in the Park,” .
In this blog post, I want to take you on a journey through this extraordinary day, where the color pink was not just a hue but a symbol of hope, resilience, and the power of community.
It's All About the Pink
Pink in the Park is an annual event, Hosted by DRI (Greensboro Imaging) held in downtown Greensboro, at LeBauer City Center Park. Every year, the park turns into a sea of pink – all to raise awareness for breast cancer!
Surrounded by tents with local vendors and organizations, the park quickly filled with people – survivors and their loved ones – decked out in pink shirts, hats, earrings – even pink hair!
The event was emceed by Greensboro newscaster, Cindy Farmer.

Dancing, Friendship, Sparkles and Awareness
The team at A Special Place was excited to be invited this year to this special event. It was a chance to gather with friends and support all our amazing clients.
We brought all the pink with us! Wigs, extensions, hats, socks, pins and more.
We were joined by a familiar face, as Merinda Wilkinson of Seahorse Salon came out to sparkle us up with some Fairy Hair!
What an amazing day – we danced, talked, hugged and remembered why we do what we do!
We look forward to seeing you next year at Pink in the Park!
